BTW, this rumor is 100% false -- the only thing on an iPad that would really benefit from a 3D display is 3D movies, but I would bet that watching movies on iPad accounts for less than 5% of typical iPad usage, and it'd also mean only one person could watch at a time.
A 3D display for games would not work on iPad because you have to keep moving the thing about -- either for the accelerometers or as you hold it in one hand a swipe away -- and that movement would totally destroy the narrow 3D effect of a glasses-free 3D screen.

This rumor is 100% automatic BS.
You can come back and throw verbal stones at me if wrong, but this low-end computing pad is going to get that kind of unseen technology out the gate? First, the price of the device would be $900+, killing its market, unless there is some amazingly convenient reason for the 3D screens to be made as cheap as the regular ones used now. The iPad 3 + 3D making it iPad 3D seems just a tad too convenient for a dumb rumor to start. Sounds more like a joke said in a bar and spread as fact to see how far the fanboys would run.
Heck, they couldn't even bring out a retina-resolution screen yet on the iPad. Or OLED. ...and you think they'll implement 3D: the most useless innovation sparked by a Hollywood carnival barker?

Because no one wants to take pictures with the iPad. I want to list all the situations where the iPhone would be much more accessible and easier to take pictures with...but that would be a huge waste of my time. It's pretty obvious.
I would be slightly worried about jailbreaking an iPhone 5 then. Sony might claim ownership of the damn thing and sue you for doing so.

Agreed, at this price point, I can't see that there would be any market for FCE.
I honestly think that's the point. Apple had iMovie, FCE and FCP (within Studio suite) so I think Apple is going to sell the standalone, fully unlocked version of their software for dirt cheap and discount it for students.
FCE was just missing a few minor features from the pro version, a UI tweak here to adjust for those missing features, and that was about it. Now, they can sell FCPX stand alone for $299 and bundled with the rest of the UBER UPDATED SUITE APPS :D for $999 maybe.

Love the white iMac! I personally prefer the design wayy much more than the newer aluminum iMacs, even though the white models are slow as $%!& compared to the offerings of today.
Ooh, brainwave! I wonder if it's possible to transplant the guts of an aluminum iMac into a white iMac? I don't know how the screen interface differs between models, so it may require replacing the LCD, but it would make a fun project.
I've got a 20" iMac G5 here with 5 blown capacitors on the logic board and another four in the power supply. If I can't fix them, I may try that transplanting project.

I've never liked walmart --- it's sooo creepy; even creepier than rite aid, the dress barn, and guns'n'ammo combined.
I don't see why they're freaking out about this; i wouldn't see iTMS being such a threat to their customers who seem to be pennypinching old ladies that don't know whether it's tuesday or december.
